Not my usual genre by any means, but I kept hearing about it and the cover was cute. I decided if it ever came my way, I would read it. It finally did, and I was surprised to find that I liked it.

I've seen this book all over TikTok and Instagram so I caved in and read it. Viv is an orc that tires of her mercenary skills and opens up a coffee shop with the help of her lucky stone. Unpopular opinion here, but this was just an okay read for me and not what I was expecting after all the hype it garnered. It was a cute, but predictable story.

Liked it, a fun, cozy and heartwarming fantasy book with a refreshing twist. In short, it is about a barbarian orc opening a coffee shop in a fantasy world. Viv, the orc protagonist, is endearing and relatable, and the supporting cast adds to the charm of a story about friendship, acceptance, and finding your place in the world.
