Hello I am a 56 year old single parent of a 18 year old daughter who just started college this year. My husband passed away 8 years ago of a massive heart attack. Now I am going through the empty nest syndrom as my daughter is away living on campus.

I am disabled so do not work, I do vol. at the locale hospital at the front desk answering the phones and sending visitors to the correct area. I also vol. at a local nursing home twice a month and read to a blind lady. At the present we are reading "Gone with the wind"

I have two dogs who keep me company. And I love to read that why when I saw this program I thought it was a great idea.
