I found Bookcrossing via NPR (enjoy Praire Home Companion, Car Talk, and Fresh Air; also listen to Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me and What Do You Know on occasion).
Favorite books include: The Stand and It (Steven King), Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card), the Honor Harrington Series (David Weber), and Magic Kingdom For Sale-Sold! (Terry Brooks)
Some of my favorite musical artists: David Wilcox, James Taylor, Electric Light Orchestra (that dates me, huh), Natalie Merchent, Annie Lennox
Some of the causes I support: Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, Doctors Without Borders, and Acid Rain Retirement Fund (not seeking additional oranizations, thanks)
I used to be a cat person ('88-00) and I still like them. I eventually had to put my pet to sleep and have no desire to replace her. I presently enjoy feeding and watching the wild birds in my area (house finch, acorn woodpeckers, turkeys, lesser goldfinch, california quail, and so on)
That's a bit of me in a nutshell (no pun there).
