Journal Entry 1 by greenbadger from St Albans, Hertfordshire United Kingdom on Thursday, December 28, 2023
Kate Ivory has moved in with George Dolby, and in the aftermath of being stabbed she is afraid to leave the house. Fortunately distraction comes in the form of a box containing a diary belonging to one of the young evacuees, Chris and Susie, who lived in the house George has inherited from his aunt. Soon Kate is deep in research, but she uncovers some shadows on the past of George's respectable family. Gripping and covering some aspects of being an evacuated child I hadn't considered.
